Laura is a graduate of both Queen's University with a BA in Sociology and the State university of New York with a Masters of Science in Teaching. Laura is also a graduate of the St.Lawrence College Child and Youth Worker diploma program. Laura has been part of the Quintilian Team since 2001 when she began as an educational assistant. Her professional interests include literacy, developing self-esteem and team building. In her spare time Laura enjoys yoga, reading and travel.

Michelle Ratkowski (BA, BEd, OTC)CONTACT
Michelle graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a B.A. in English and History, and Memorial University of Newfoundland with a BEd. She has also completed a Specialist in Special Education through Queen's University and joined Quintilian in 2013. For 20 years, she has been involved in Special Education and has experience at all grade levels. Although Michelle and her family have lived in various parts of North America, she is thrilled to have finally settled in Kingston. In her spare time Michelle enjoys playing the violin, reading, and vacationing with her family.

Nicole MacPherson (BA, BEd)CONTACT

Nicole is the lead teacher in Quintilian's transition room located in the portable classroom. She graduated from Queen's Faculty of Education in 2014 and has been at Quintilian for almost a year. She lives in South Frontenac with her husband and three teenagers. In her spare time Nicole loves gardening, reading, and sketching.

Andrea Robertson (BA, BEd)CONTACT

Andrea graduated with a BA in psychology from Queen's University and a BEd from York University. She taught for the Limestone School Board for many years and is now returning from time off to work with Quintilian's Primary class. She has training from Pathways for children with spectrum disorders, Special Ed. Part I, and Reading Part I. She is a native to Kingston and has a son attending Quintilian School and is interested in reading, spending time at the beach or pool with her family, and cooking.

Erol Agaoglu (CYW)CONTACT

Erol joined the Quintilian team in June 2009. Erol has a background in corrections and Child and Youth Work. Erol is an avid athlete and a devoted soccer player. Erol also enjoys sketching and playing his guitar when he is not working at Quintilian.

Kristen Diaz (CYW)CONTACT

Kristen Diaz is a graduate of the CYW program at St Lawrence College. Her love of children has translated into 16 years of working with kids and their families, focusing primarily on mental health and behaviour. Her spare time is filled with her family, art, books, roller derby and feeding stray hockey players

Lucas Matheson (BA, BEd)CONTACT

Lucas is a recent Queen's graduate who studied Physical and Health Education before earning his Bachelor of Education degree. He helped the Special Olympics run their Active Start/Fundamentals program and likes to be physically active by playing as many sports as possible. He looks forward to teaching Phys. Ed, music, and science this school year.

Terry Thompson (MST, BA, CYW)CONTACT

Terry is a graduate of both Laurentian University and Nipissing University with a BA in History/Economics and his Bachelor of Education, respectively. He has several years experience working with children in a volunteer capacity with the Kingston YKNOT abilities program and schools in the Kingston area. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his family.
